The Commerce Street combination

Technology with
a human side.

An approved purchasing marketplace connects with oversight, budget information, asset records, reporting, and a client experience team. The value is in how those parts support your organization together.

Contract programs can be part of the solution.

MiDEAL is Michigan’s extended purchasing program for eligible members. Sourcewell and OMNIA also provide contract options. These programs may complement the Commerce Street approach rather than replace it.

Contract eligibility, individual terms, and your organization’s purchasing requirements determine which options apply.

Comparison sources and scope

Reviewed October 5, 2026. Public descriptions are provider claims, not independent product testing. Public research did not resolve all asset depreciation, capital forecasting, grant-management, and warranty-history comparisons. Those categories remain in the chart with explicit evidence limitations, without claims that other providers lack them. Definitive absence claims would require direct provider confirmation.

  1. Commerce Street: owner-provided service details, school platform brochure, and demo frontend. Reports reflect recorded information; module availability varies by configuration.
  2. Amazon Business: buying policies and approvals, budget and purchasing controls, analytics, and IT asset-tagging and warranty services. Additional verified information: cooperative contract options, customer support, project-code reporting, and return-related refunds. Some capabilities have membership or eligibility conditions. The comparison uses Amazon Business, not a consumer Amazon account.
  3. MiDEAL: program description and member agreement. The program provides state-contract access; members retain responsibility for funds and purchase orders. Supplier offerings are separate from program functions.
  4. Sourcewell: cooperative contracts and specialist support. Sourcewell describes issuing purchase orders through the member’s existing internal process. It also offers a contract for third-party asset-management software; this is separate supplier software, not evidence that the Sourcewell program itself supplies a native asset module.
  5. OMNIA Partners / OPUS: purchasing account and catalog, approvals, and contracts and reporting.
