Students find or sketch ten examples, including flat shapes, solid shapes, a right angle, parallel lines, and symmetry. Follow-up prompts ask them to sort two- and three-dimensional finds and describe an unusual shape.

Set a comfortable search area and invite students to work alone or with a partner. Objects can also be brought to a table for a seated version.
